Toadally Frogs Blog Hop

Welcome to the Toadally Frogs Blog hop! We have some Toadally amazing crafters hoppin' along...and we hope to give the Easter Bunny a leap for his money! You should have come from Bonnie's amazing blog. If you just happened upon my blog and would like to start from the beginning leap back over to Karelj's blog at http://www.kareljcreations.com/.

SOooooo on to my project! I went back and forth as to what to create for this hop and then put it on the back burner. I checked out a few scrap booking books from the library and lo and behold I saw my project!!! This was adapted from a book on different boarders.

I used SU paper for all the patterned paper and the card stock is Bassils. I also used vellum. I cut my title with my gypsy and yet again I have noooooo idea which font I used. I do believe I cut it at half an inch though. The frog is from Boys Will Be Boys. The lily pad and grass is from Create A Critter. I did add a little green Stickles to the lily pad and grass to make it pop! The "prince" is from Everyday Paper Dolls.

I cut the blue card stock out and then layered the grass and doll on the card stock. I then adhered the vellum on the cs using the cute flower brads. On top of the vellum I put the title, grass, lily pad and frog on the vellum so it looks like the frog is looking at his reflection in the pond.

These pictures were taken of me and hubby on our very first trip together. On that trip to Vegas he did ask my dad if he could marry me. Isn't that sweet??? Boy did I look so much cuter, thinner, and younger back than. Oh well. He still loves me so he's still my prince (most of the time.)

I will be offering some blog candy (to be posted before the end of the weekend). All I ask is that you leave a comment and a way to contact you. I would love for you to become a follower but its not a requirement! I will pick a winner Monday evening using random.org

Now leap on over to Jamie's blog and see what she has made!

Recipe Swap

I succumbed to doing a recipe swap on the MB again. It had been a long time and what can I say? I can't resist a good recipe swap!

My first recipe is for Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies. I used From My Kitchen for the jar and the cookies. I cut the jar at 2.5 inches (got rid of the cherry that was on it thanks to my gypsy). I cut the cookies at 1.5 inches (I believe). I used stickles on the cookie jar and also on the cookies.

For my second recipe I did Sunshine S'mores Cupcakes. I cut 3 cupcakes from Sweet Treats. I think they are at 2 inches.

Hope you guys like them.

Stick Pins

I could definitely get obsessed with these little things. I am lucky that my mom makes jewelry so I have inherited her "extras". These are fun and pretty easy to make. Just take corsage pins, bead your design on them, when you get to the last bead put some glossy accents on the pin and roll your pin around it. Let them dry. Easy Peasy.

Happy Birthday Cards

I won blog candy a few weeks ago for an awesome card making book. There was an example of a card to look like an Oreo cookie. In the directions it had you using punches and stamps. I took the directions and used my good ol' cricut to make the shapes instead. I also used Beyond Birthdays for the sediment. I used my swiss dots embossing folder for the circle in the center of the scallop. I believe the scallop circle and the regular circle were from Mini Monograms.

My friend Jen seems to like them and they were fun to make.

9 Month Layout

All the paper I used for this LO is from Close to My Heart. I have never used any of their stuff before but I got it at a scrap booking garage sale. I LOOOOOVVVVVVEEEE it! Both the card stock and patterned papers are awesome! Great! Just what I need another addiction! OK back to the LO: I used my paper ripper ruler to do the boarders. Used Stone Script for the title. The "So Cute" is from Create A Critter. I stapled the ribbon on the mat of the one page and put three flower brads on the other mat along with the cut! Of course there is stickles on the 9 months, the cute and the brads. I think like the caption says it turned out TOO CUTE!!!

6 Month Layout

For this sweet layout it started as a whim. I had no idea what I was going to do with the pictures. I just laid them down in the way they are on the big circle and had an "aha" thought. I cut the big circle and also the little ones all from George. I then stickled around the whole circle. I took pearls and put them on the two sides of the big circle. Keeping with the theme I decided to cut the bunny and carrot from Create a Critter. I have no idea which cart (I know you are shocked right???) I used to cut the title from.
