Calendar Blog Hop

Welcome to my first Blog hop. I have been hopping on so many of these I thought it was time to finally take the plunge and actually participate. You will be awed by all the awesome talent along the way. You may also find some yummy blog candy throughout the journey. The Grand Prize Blog Candy is a brand-new Designer’s Calendar Cartridge, donated by Karelj at One By One The Flamingos Are Stealing My Sanity. I picked to do the month of June since its my birthday month and because we always try to take our family vacation in June.

For the first page I cut the month June in the boxed category at 4 inches from Designer's Calender in purple. I cut the background paper behind it to size. I cut the butterfly at both 2 inches and 1.5 inches from the cart and went around the edges and lines with my purple MS glitter pen. I then cut the gray card stock at 4x6 and the patterned paper and 3.75x 5.75. I used the butterfly ribbon as a boarder and then used the same ribbon to do little tabs for the photos.

One the second page I cut the grid in gray card stock from Designer's Calender at 8 inches. I cut the numbers, days of the week and the embellishments all at one inch. I used purple card stock for the numbers and the background of the grid. I used the gray for the strip that I put the days of the week (cut in purple). I used the same patterned paper from the first page as my background for the second page. I then used my MS glitter pens to embellish the different holidays. I used the flag, summer vacation, cake and the tie from Designers Calender in the Events category. I used lavender stickles on summer vacation.
